Tracker Season 3 Episode 3 Ends on Bittersweet Note

In the wake of Halloween weekend, Tracker Season 3, Episode 3 delivers an intense episode with an eerie twist. With most of the show grounded in gritty crime drama, the latest episode brings in some supernatural themes for a change. However, it ends on a rather bittersweet note.

Here’s a brief of what happened in the last episode.

What happens in Tracker Season 3 Episode 3 ending?

In Tracker Season 3, Episode 3, the power at the Wyndham Psychiatric Detention Center goes out after a wild storm. During the outage, an arsonist named Heston Koontz escapes from the facility. Worried about his disturbed state of mind and the threat he poses to others, Heston’s family reaches out to Reenie. She passes the case to Colter, who is then introduced to Detective Dundee, the lead officer assigned to locating Heston.

During the investigation, they discover a key card in Heston’s belongings along with a Bible from Sacred Fire Church. Colter and Dundee learn that the key card belonged to Bill, a member of the church. However, they later find Bill’s body and speculate that someone else killed him and used his card to frame him.

Further into their investigation, they locate Bill’s missing van with Randy’s help. It leads them to Emily’s house, the first person whose home Heston burned down as a result of his parasomnia. Fearing that he may have kidnapped her, Colter and Dundee intensify their search.

Meanwhile, Reenie learns that Sister Carlotta, a nun at the Sacred Fire Church, visited Heston quite often. She believed that Heston was spiritually troubled and wanted to help him. Later, Colter finds a map of the Wyndham in Sister Carlotta’s room that she might have used to abduct Heston, confirming that she kidnapped him. In her journal, she also wrote “First Fire,” which Colter speculates refers to Heston’s first arson victim, Emily. Colter and Dundee go to Emily’s old house, where Sister Carlotta is performing a ritual, believing that a demon has possessed Heston.

To save his soul, she plans to burn him alongside Emily. However, Heston manages to free himself and tries to fight back. One of the church members fires a gun at him. At that moment, Colter and Dundee arrive at the scene and shoot the attacker. Amid the chaos and despite his injuries, Heston lunges toward Sister Carlotta to save Emily. Colter and Dundee take Emily to safety as the house burns down behind them, killing both Heston and Sister Carlotta.
