People are bringing up Thomas Forrester’s name again, and his possible return could stir up déjà vu. It is possible, especially for Hope, who might not be over those old feelings after all.
Will Liam and Hope break up due to Thomas on The Bold and the Beautiful?
This week on The Bold and the Beautiful, Liam (Scott Clifton) got down on one knee and popped the question to Hope (Annika Noelle), and she said yes again.
This might sound romantic, but fans aren’t so sure. Many feel the engagement came too soon, especially since Hope was just engaged to Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor). Now she’s ready to walk down the aisle with Liam all over again?
Soap operas are full of this logic, but fans can’t help but wonder if these two ever really worked through their baggage before saying yes.
For the unversed, Hope and Liam have always shared a complicated history. Hope once confessed that her thoughts and fantasies had begun to drift toward Thomas (Matthew Atkinson). Liam was still married to her at the time.
This meant that the spark between her and Thomas never really went away. Things hit a breaking point in Rome when the two finally shared a fiery kiss. It blew up her marriage to Liam and kicked off the whole “Thope” craze. Fans later saw them making out in the design room and Eric’s office.
Hope once admitted she had “lost her way” after her split from Liam, but that detour also helped her find herself again. And ironically, it led her straight to Thomas (via Soap Central).
The big question now is whether she can truly move on from that kind of fire. After feeling that connection with Thomas, will she be content going back to the safe, steady life Liam offers?
As for Liam, Thomas is still the name that makes his blood boil. He has not fully moved past the fact that Thomas once hid the truth about their daughter Beth being alive. So when Hope crossed that line with Thomas, it hurt him even more. That’s a wound that may never completely heal.
So, there’s a real chance Hope and Liam could hit the brakes again. But as is often the case on The Bold and the Beautiful, the writers might stretch it out and turn it into another dramatic love triangle. And while that might be painful for Team Liam, it would certainly make for some addictive TV.
