HBO‘s The White Lotus Season 4 has received a new major update regarding the location of the acclaimed show’s next installment. This comes more than six months after Season 3 had concluded its 8-episode run, which garnered 23 Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series.
Where is the new location for The White Lotus Season 4?
After filming in Thailand for Season 3, production on The White Lotus Season 4 is now expected to take place in two different famous locations in France. According to Variety, the creative team is planning to shoot the next installment in five-star hotels located in Paris and the French Riviera. Unlike previous seasons, it looks like Season 4 won’t be filmed at a Four Seasons hotel since HBO hasn’t decided to renew its partnership with the hotel chain. Although the team hasn’t chosen the final hotel locations, they have already visited several luxury hotels, including Le Lutetia and the Ritz.
At the moment, Season 4 has no cast or target release date yet. Further details about its plot are still under wraps. In a previous interview, HBO executive Casey Bloys confirmed that creator Mike White first pitched his idea for Season 4 while they were filming Season 3 in Thailand.
The award-winning series is created, written, and directed by Mike White (Enlightened), who is also serving as an executive producer alongside David Bernard, Mark Kamine, and Nick Hall. Since its debut in 2021, the show has maintained its Certified Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, its latest season has now become the show’s lowest-rated installment, with a Tomatometer rating of 86%, based on 190 reviews.
