Adapted by Cooper from musician and author Warren Zanes’best-selling novel, Deliver Me from Nowhere takes audiences back to when the 20-time Grammy Award-winning Bruce Springsteen, played by White, was still on the verge of global superstardom. It’s 1982, and a young Springsteen is grappling with the pressures of fame, the public, and his own past. The movie takes us inside the musician’s New Jersey bedroom during a pivotal time in his career and life to chronicle the making of his sixth album, Nebraska. In addition to White, Deliver Me from Nowhere enlists a stacked cast, including Stephen Graham (Adolescence) as Douglas Springsteen, Gaby Hoffmann (Transparent) as Adele Springsteen, Jeremy Strong (Succession) as Springsteen’s manager and friend Jon Landau, Paul Walter Hauser(The Naked Gun) as Mike Batlan, Marc Maron as producer Chuck Plotkin, and David Krumholtz (Oppenheimer) as Columbia executive Al Teller, and Odessa Young (The Order) as Faye Romano.
