The Awards season has opened! And, as always, Nathalie Dubois had her first DPA gift suite (https://dpagroup.org) at the enchanting Luxe Hotel (https://www.luxehotels.com ). This year again, Nathalie was able to put together three amazing suites with so many new brands electing to promote their line of products during the busy Emmys’ weekend

(https://theemmys.tv ). So many Stars came to the DPA gift suite to get pampered and offered an endless ocean of gifts. The presence of Sharon Stone and Alex Baldwin was spotted. As well as the gracious Jessica Morris, Natasia Deemetrius, or Dominika J.
As I checked in, a very nice lady started to escort me down the lines of amazing booths. First, I encountered the team of Agua Caliente Casinos (https://aguacalientecasinos.com/properties/rancho-mirage/ ). Indeed, this is the resort of the hot water set up nestled in Rancho Mirage next to Palm Springs. This property is a AAA Four Diamond, 16-story property, and it has a glamorous outdoor pool as well as a hot tub. For self-indulgence, it is recommended to book a reservation for a lavish steak and seafood feast at the iconic The Steakhouse Rancho Mirage. Look at the menu and tell me your mouth is watering! (https://aguacalientecasinos.com/dining/steakhouse/ ). I was offered a two-night stay, and for sure I’m booking my reservation at once. Who wants to join me?
To celebrate with the right “spirit,” we were lucky to be gifted some amazing rum and Chocolates from Frères Lauzea (https://www.frereslauzea.fr ) coming straight from La Martinique. I have simply never experienced such a pure delight. Even better than Godiva or other luxurious brands. These passionate chocolate creators are really onto something unique that melts your mouth and your heart. The bottle of rum we received is called Le Shrubb, and it’s an orange rum that you can drink straight on ice. Just sip a glass, close your eyes, and you are in Martinique!
Still from Martinique, the brand ‘Clément’ (https://rhumclementusa.com/liqueur/ ) came to Beverly Hills for our pure pleasure and to gift us a variety of rums: there was the ‘Mahina Coco’, which is a coconut-based rum, the ‘Créole Shrub’, similar to the previous liquor with orange flavor and the ‘Bana Canne’, a “to fall for” banana rum! Now, let’s talk about the Gin line from COIT Spirits (https://coitspirits.com ). First, I have to confess I usually hate gin; this is the only liquor I don’t like other than drinking it, mixed with other liquors for a wild ‘Long Island Iced Tea’!
GOIT Spirits’ famous quote is: “Be Bold, Be Independent, Be Rare”. And it’s exactly what they are about with their ‘Earl Gray Gin’ and its perfect aroma and balance; the ‘Cape Tea Gin’ hails from the Rooibos bush of the Cedarburg wilderness of South Africa; and the ‘Caravan Tea Gin’ is a dry gin over burning pine needles for a smoky note. After testing, with moderation, each of these gins, I have to say I will have to revise my judgment on this fine liquor.
Now that we are dancing with lighter feet, time to move down the other booths of the DPA gift suites. Two ladies welcomed me to their line of jewels and gems, and pearls! Miliani Creations (https://www.instagram.com/milianicreations/?hl=en ) is a unique line of jewels, bracelets, and earrings made with mesmerizing, blinding pearls from Tahiti. Their creations are elevated and simply unique with the perfect harmony of colors. When wearing their bracelet or earrings, one can feel like being one with the beautiful Pacific Ocean surrounding Tahiti. I feel the call for the wild and the urge to jump on a plane. The second splendid jewels and gems company was founded by Deborah Brock and Katie Mitchell. ‘Gem & I’ (https://gemandicrystals.com ). These two ladies bring years of experience to the art of crystal décor. They specialize in sourcing one-of-a-kind treasures from every corner of the Globe. “Energy, Elegance and Elevation” is their motto, and we invite you strongly to discover their many creations on their site.
What I love about Nathalie Dubois’ gift suite is that she always finds these unique, amazing skin care products. The second company, the Hidden Foods Company, is a recurring brand gracing Nathalie Dubois’ DPA suite. One of my favorite companies, as well as for my kids, as it offers such an amazing wide range of breakfast pancake/waffles mixers! The human soul is resilient and always ready to lead the battle for the light to shine on all living creatures. Kim has been coming to the DPA suites for a while, and I recall a bittersweet conversation with her about my cats, who had endured some traumas following the disaster of my divorce. Since that time, sadly, the cats passed away, and we now have two happy kittens, full of life, who are not affected by the chaos we had to face. Kim is an amazing spirit who can truly bridge the connection between you and your pet. So, if, like me, you went through terrible dark times, reach out to her and she will help bring some light to your life again.
Talking about people bringing light to this dark moment we all are going through, politically, spiritually, physically, let me re-introduce you to my good friend, writer and spiritual teacher: Oshri (https://www.butterflyonbooks.com/about ). He is a brilliant children’s book author and illustrator. He gifted my young sons, Max (13) and Rex (11), a very inspiring book about letting go of your phone devices: ‘Phoney Baloney’. I encourage every parent to visit Oshri’s site and discover the great line of books he wrote, which could truly enlighten your kids.
Still in the book department, I was so delighted to meet Maureen Anne Meehan ( www.Maureenmeehanbooks.com ). Maureen has written a transformative book about dating: ’60 Dates’; which she signed and offered me. It’s about a widowed woman in her 50s, recovering from a neck injury, and setting herself on 60 dates in six months. This is a fantastic book, and I can’t wait to go and check out this promising picture.
Finally, let’s salute the courage and hard work of the team of ‘Hand 4 Hope L.A’ (www.Hands4HopeLA.org ). This is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering at-risk youth by offering FREE after-school care, academic and creative activities, as well as nutritional snacks and enriching field trips. Their mission is to provide support to youth ages 6-24 and their parents from low-income, underserved, predominantly single-parent minority households to improve their quality of life. I can only encourage everyone to support their effort and donate whatever you can to their great cause.
YES, the DPA gift suite is, again, a success story!
