After the success of Denis Villeneuve’s Dunemovies, fans around the world know Rebecca Fergusonas the Reverend Mother. The actor’s exceptional performance isn’t limited to the big screen, as the audience also saw Ferguson in an equally headstrong avatar in the dystopian world of Apple TV’s Silo. Helmed by fan-favorite creator Graham Yost, the sci-fi series is considered underrated despite a great response.
But that seems to be changing, as months after the finale of Season 2,the series is again steadily gaining traction on Apple TV charts. It has maintained a strong position at #9 on the top 10 charts in the past week. Silo had an impeccable Season 1 with an 89% Rotten Tomatoes score, while the second season scored even better at 94%.
What to Expect From ‘Silo’ Seasons 3 and 4?
Based on Hugh Howey‘s novel trilogy, Silo follows the remnants of humanity who have been kept away from the inhospitable conditions outside in deep, suffocating, multi-layered facilities known as Silos. We follow Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) as her investigations into the death of a colleague uncover frightening secrets that challenge the entire order of the structures within the Silo, as well as the people’s perception of the outside world.
The second season takes the story forward as she sees the barren world around her, as well as other similar facilities in the distance, and the mystery deepens in the shocking finale. And if books are to go by, fans are in for a chaotic emotional ride in the upcoming seasons. The show’s success propelled Apple TV to renew the series for Seasons 3 and 4, with the latter wrapping up the series. The third season has wrapped production. Ferguson previously hinted that the two seasons could be shot back-to-back and teased,
“I believe that the show has an ending, and I know when that is. So that’s the answer. You will find out when the show is done. To be honest, I don’t think it’s a secret. The books are the books. It’s three books, and the three books are divided into four seasons.”
Ferguson will return alongsideTim Robbins, Common, Steve Zahn, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Clare Perkins, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie, and Iain Glen.
