Zethino’s love test is a wonderful moment for anyone attempting romance in Baldur’s Gate 3. Zethino is a dryad found in Rivington’s Circus of the Last Days in Act 3. She offers a love test for you and one companion of your choice to see how well you know your love. Karlach hates the ones who sold her soul to the Nine Hells, condemning her to endless servitude on the battlefield. I’ve found that Halsin is a character defined by his work, mainly as a protector of the Emerald Grove in BG3 and nature as a whole. From helping Thaniel cure the Shadow Curse in Act 2 to his steadfast leadership in Act 1’s Grove, Halsin cares a lot about his many responsibilities. If your character learns what those duties are, you can learn what the companion takes the most pride in doing.
Halsin doesn’t become a companion in your party until after you complete the Act 2 quest tied to lifting the Shadow Curse. That being said, you can still speak to him frequently in your camp after you rescue him from the Goblin Camp in Act 1.

Despite this, those who aid or spare Minthara can build a steady romance with her, either as an evil or merciful character. When you recruit Minthara as a companion, you’ll quickly learn about her time growing up in the Underdark, where she fought against her Drow family for a place of high status.
With Minthara being betrayed by the Absolute cult, she wishes to follow those with true strength to resist what she could not. While she still follows the ruthless ways of her homeland, she is not overly arrogant and recognizes her own failures.
