The Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot has added five new cast members.
Sarah Michelle Gellar will reprise her iconic role in the forthcoming Buffy the Vampire reboot, which will also star Ryan Kiera Armstrong. Nora Zuckerman and Lila Zuckerman are attached to write, showrun, and executive produce the new series.
Who has joined the cast of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot?
Per Variety, the cast of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot now also includes Faly Rakotohavana as Hugo, Ava Jean as Larkin, Sarah Bock as Gracie, Daniel di Tomasso as Abe, and Jack Cutmore-Scott as Mr. Burke.
Faly Rakotohavana played Finn in the Unprisoned television show and has starred in movies such as 2018’s Nightmare Cinema and 2020’s Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Jean, meanwhile, starred in 2023’s Holiday Twist and a recent episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Bock is known for playing Miss Huang in the second season of Apple TV+’s Severance, while di Tomasso has appeared in projects such as Witches of East End, Timeless, Major Crimes, Chicago Fire, French Exit, The Republic of Sarah, and CSI: Vegas.
Lastly, Cutmore-Scott played Rufus Saville in 2014’s Kingsman: The Secret Service before he was in 2017’s Dunkirk, 2017’s Bad Match, 2020’s Tenet, and 2023’s Oppenheimer. He also played Frederick “Freddy” Crane in the Frasier reboot, and has been in other shows such as Magnum P.I., Hawaii Five-0, and Law and Order.
Chloé Zhao is attached to direct and executive produce the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot pilot for her Book of Shadows production banner. Other executive producers include Gellar, Gail Berman, Fran Kuzui, Kaz Kuzui, and Dolly Parton. 20th Television and Searchlight Television will produce.
At this time, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot only has a pilot order at Hulu. No release date information is yet available.
