Damian was stabbed to death in the previous week of Young and Restless, suspiciously, with only Cane around. But there were some things about this scene that could hint at something slightly different.

Could Damian still be alive on The Young and the Restless
In the previous episode of Young and Restless, Phyllis saw Cane with Damian’s dead body. Damian was stabbed in the back, and Cane was the only one around him. But Cane declared him dead immediately and seemingly did not even want Phyllis to attempt to revive him.
The lack of clarity around both this and the method of death seems to put Cane in the zone of suspicion. Cane also claimed that he was feeling dizzy because of the drink, but seeing Damian’s body shocked him to his senses. Again, this was a relatively strange thing to say.
Moreover, a theory suggests (via Soaps) that Damian may not have to die at all for Cane’s plan to work. Cane could have just given him a medicine or drug to slow down his heartbeat and knock him unconscious. The fact that Cane rushed the body off to the freezer almost immediately also supports this theory.
Cane also told Carter, “You know what to do,” which hints at something suspicious. He also seems to indicate that this was pre-planned. In that case, hiring Chance could also be a part of the plan. It would also clear Cane of any suspicion.
In this way, Cane would be able to remove his romantic rival from the scenario without killing him. But this could be a problem if Damian resurfaces later.
Of course, for the fans of Young and Restless, Damian remains dead right now. The upcoming episodes will shed more light on this.
