The Ultimatum: Queer Love season 2 featured Magan Mourad and Dayna Mathews, and it’s time to find out whether they are still together after the show. The Ultimatum: Queer Loveseason 2 dropped its first batch of episodes on June 25, 2025, with the rest of the episodes airing July 2. Queer Love is a spinoff of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, which aired season 3 in December 2024. Queer Love has been a two-year hiatus, so its premiere has been highly anticipated by fans.
There were six couples in season 2: Magan and Dayna, Mel Vitale and Marie Angeline, Haley Drexler and Pilar, Kyle Neal and Bridget Matloff, and Brittney Thompson and AJ. Like the OG show, Queer Love follows a specific format. The participants break up, date the other cast members for a week, and then enter into a three-week-long trial marriage before they get back with their original partners for an additional 3 weeks before the ultimatum choice. Magan and Dayna arguably had the most drama in season 2.
Dayna & Magan’s Relationship Background
Only Together A Year & A Half
Magan, 27, and Dayna, 25, were in the shortest relationship of the Queer Love season 2 couples, having only been together a year and a half. Magan, who is of Lebanese descent, was not prioritizing being her authentic self to her family, and her relationship was suffering because of it.
“I refuse to stay in this waiting game of people accepting her or us when she hasn’t demanded that,” Dayna said.
Dayna & Magan Both Hooked Up With Their Trial Marriage Partners
But Magan Proposed To Dayna
When Dayna and Magan were in the dating phase, Magan was not connecting with anyone, and she therefore asked Dayna if they could leave the experiment. Dayna talked her into staying, and Magan ended up forming a connection with Haley towards the end of the dating week.
During the trial marriage, Magan and Haley took their attraction and adoration for each other to the next level. They shared physical intimacy and even said “I love you” before their trial marriage was up.
On Dayna’s side of things, she paired up with Mel, and the two quickly became close. They spent the entire first night together talking, and it ultimately led them to form a big attachment to one another. They also had sex, but they lied about it.
Dayna and Mel also got matching tattoos, something that Magan and Dayna were supposed to do after the show.
Suspicion grew about the nature of their relationship, and things came to a head during the changeover when Magan and Haley confronted them with damning information.
“Haley and I were sitting in our bedroom, and all of a sudden, the TV turns on. It goes to Spotify. It logs in on both of your accounts. And all there’s been is sex playlists. You have one private playlist that you guys created together. And on your (Dayna’s) account, you opened the album you made for me, and you took all the songs that you created for me, including our song together, and put that on your playlist together.”
Upon initially getting back together, Magan said she was over the relationship. But she ended up doing a 180 and she and Dayna decided to work on things. Magan, on defense, told Haley that she never loved her, and the two ended their relationship on a sour note. On the heels of that, Magan proposed to Dayna during the ultimatum finale, and the two seemed smitten.
