Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to streaming with FUBARseason 2, this time around with The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss in tow, and critics love it. The series is out now for fans to decide, but the Rotten Tomatoes rating of the current season has already outdone the rating of the initial season. The Nick Santora-created series is back with more action, a dance sequence, and a thrilling plot.
FUBAR season 2 has garnered a 63 percent Rotten Tomatoes rating on Tomatometer. While the audience rating is yet to come, it’s a big leap from the first season’s 56 percent rating from critics, which was in a clear divide with the audience that awarded it a 68 percent rating. So, if indeed fans like what they see in the second season, the audience rating can get much higher than season 2’s critics’ rating, again.
What to Expect From ‘FUBAR’ Season 2?
In FUBAR, Schwarzenegger plays Luke Brunner alongside Monica Barbaro, who plays his daughter, Emma. The father-daughter duo, for years, have lied to each other about secretly working as CIA operatives, and finally found out the truth in Season 1. The second season ups the ante with eight new episodes, with Luke reluctantly returning from retirement when a mission involving Emma spirals out of control, both on a family and global level.
Schwarzenegger previously told Collider about taking bigger, more entertaining risks with the new season, “Well, the first season, I think, was a clear indication that they found the sweet spot. You know, we’re delivering the right amount of action with the right amount of comedy and drama, but they ramped it up in a second season. I think that they really wanted to outdo themselves and outdo the first season, so they ramped it up and there’s more action and there’s more drama, more comedy.” Collider’s Jeff Ewing writes in his review:
FUBAR is an amusing and thrilling watch in Season 2. The core team shines, including Schwarzenegger, Barbaro, and Carter, who all earn dramatically interesting arcs throughout the season. The season’s antagonists are well-written for their genre-spanning purposes, and the pace is breezy overall, with quick-moving plot developments.
The series cast Milan Carter as Barry, Fortune Feimster as Roo, Travis Van Winkle as Aldon, Anne Moss as Greta, Guy Burnet as Theo, Aparna Brielle as Tina, and many more. FUBAR season 2 is available to stream on Netflix.
